Arts integration lesson at Havergal Junior College

At Havergal Junior College, I co-facilitated and developed an art integration lesson for second graders, aligning with the Ontario School Curriculum and Ontario School Art Curriculum. This lesson was designed to introduce the concept of culture and celebration. Through the creation of pop-up cards, students explored the various ways people celebrate winter festivals across different cultures. This arts-based project involved crafting pop-up cards adorned with stickers, drawings, and other craft materials, which they then sent to someone they wished to extend their blessings to. The activity concluded with students observing the uniqueness in each other's creations and sharing their thoughts, fostering an appreciation for diversity and creativity.
